Our proposal uses openness and transparency as design drivers and seeks to establish the school as a focus for community activities. The entrance floor is an accessible plinth which rises from a public square and allows direct access to usable roof spaces. Individual building elements arise from the plinth and are arranged around an open courtyard which is envisaged as the ‘heart’ of the school.
