GRAND MARK HOTEL (formerly Kempinski)

FROM FORMER PALACE TO 5* HOTEL

This 10 000 m2 heritage protected building dating back to the 17th century has been reconstructed to provide 75 guest rooms and apartments, a restaurant, bar and gym to the highest standards. The historic courtyard garden, unique in central Prague has been re-modelled to reflect the formal character of the main building. The glazed central atrium provides a ‘light filled’ informal space at the heart of the hotel giving access to the bar and restaurant areas.

New elements within the building are expressed in a modern style adding a new layer to the already rich history of this former palace. IBA worked with interior designers RPW, landscape designers Park Hood and Lighting designers LDPi on the project.
